By accessing or using PlainDoc (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

PlainDoc is an AI-powered tool that analyzes Philippine employment contracts and generates plain-language summaries, risk flags, and recommendations. The Service accepts PDF files and photos of contracts.

You agree to use PlainDoc only for:

• Analyzing Philippine employment contracts and related documents
• Personal, non-commercial informational purposes

You agree not to:

• Upload documents containing illegal content
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, abuse, or overload the Service
• Use the Service to provide legal advice to third parties
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits

4. Account Terms

You must create an account via our authentication provider (Clerk) to use the analysis features. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Each person may maintain only one account.

5. Credits and Payments

• Free tier: Every user receives 3 free analyses per month, resetting on the 1st of each month.
• Credit packs: Additional analyses can be purchased as one-time credit packs through PayMongo.
• No expiration: Purchased credits do not expire.
• Non-refundable: All credit pack purchases are final and non-refundable.
• Payment processing: Payments are processed by PayMongo. By purchasing, you also agree to PayMongo's terms of service.

6. Intellectual Property

Your documents: You retain all ownership rights to the contracts and documents you upload. We claim no rights to your content.

Our service: The PlainDoc platform, including its design, code, analysis methodology, and brand, is our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the Service.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Philippine law, PlainDoc and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to losses arising from reliance on AI-generated analysis.

8. Privacy

Your use of PlainDoc is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

9. Termination

You may stop using PlainDoc at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your unused credits remain on your account but cannot be refunded.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of the Philippines.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
